Thriller research - Alfred Hitchcock

NOTES "... It is indispensable that the public be made aware of all the facts involved. Otherwise, There is no suspense." - Hitchcock The difference between shock and suspense. Changing from passive viewers to active participants Shock has a shorter time of reaction than suspense it is much longer. Wondering when the bad thing will happen for example a bomb going off or the characters will survive. Giving the audience more information carries more wait because they have seen previous clips of the danger. 1. Framing and going back and forth from the victim to the danger crating tension and suspense. 2. Editing  Information is important and that's why Hitchcock is "the master of suspense"
